HYPE Mentoring is proud to announce our affiliate membership of the Memphis Grizzlies Foundation’s TEAM UP Youth Mentoring Partnership! The TEAM UP Youth Mentoring Partnership is an affiliate of MENTOR, the National Mentoring Partnership, which is the unifying champion for expanding quality mentoring relationships in the United States.

HYPE Mentoring is one of only two organizations in middle Tennessee – and the ONLY organization in Sumner County –  to become an affiliate member of the Mentoring Partnership, which seeks to train and equip mentoring program staff, and build and enhance mentoring programs that align with national best practices and evidence-based models. Our affiliate membership is the first step towards industry accreditation for our mentoring program.

What does that mean for HYPE? It means that by working with Mentor, through our membership with TEAM UP, we will stay abreast of evidence-based best practices and ensure our mentor recruitment, screening and selection policies, and training, monitoring, and support procedures follow accepted industry guidelines. It means our selection of mentors, mentees, and activities will be data-driven to achieve positive developmental outcomes, and that our programming will be rooted in measurable results.
