Can I donate with a paper check?

Are my donations tax deductible?

Hype Mentoring is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations will be tax-deductible as allowed by law.

How is my donation used?

Your generous contribution will:

  • Provide donations and/or mentors to local organizations that share the same mission of inspiring youth
  • Assist local schools with supplying items to families who need assistance
  • Provide aid to families to give their child the opportunity to play a sport
  • Provide advanced training opportunities for Staff, Coaches, Trainers, and Volunteers
  • Offer full/partial sponsorships to families who are financially unable to enroll their athletes in our program
  • Purchase equipment that will allow us to provide female athletes with quality training and instruction
  • Send athletes to exposure camps and tournaments to assist with college recruitment
  • Purchase uniforms
  • Provide upgrades to and maintain facility
  • Provide team bonding activities

Can I make non-monetary donations (i.e. sports equipment, vehicles, furniture, etc)?

YES! HYPE is currently accepting used sports equipment (bats, gloves, cleats, etc.), and work out/gym equipment! Please contact us at, and we will be glad to pick up your donation.

You can donate vehicles in any condition.

Contact us and we’ll pick up your car, boat, truck, motorcycle or RV at absolutely no charge and provide you with an IRS-approved receipt for your donation. After receiving your information, we will call you within 3 business days to provide you with the stock number assigned to your donation and to arrange for a pick-up time. Your tax deductible receipt will be provided at the time of pick-up and additional information will be mailed after your vehicle has been sold.

Additionally, you may donate furniture and household items in good condition. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service requires you to value your donation when filing your return.
